Special Guest at the Summer Fun Day

We are really pleased to finally announce our special guest for the Summer Fun Day. We have confirmation that Invictus Games Gold Medallist Michael Westwell will open our Summer Fun day.

Michael was injured in the Afghanistan war and after his recovery he went on to take Gold in the time trial cycling event at the 2016 Invictus Games. His story was covered by the Nottingham Post. He is a sporting role model that we can all look up to and his story of triumph over adversity is a theme that we want to replicate with Onchan Park.

We can also confirm that there will be sporting displays on the old Bowling Green, Information stands from the local Police, Fire and Rescue Service, and The Royal British Legion, as well as traditional stalls and vendors. There should be something for everyone: tombola, cake stall, refreshments, Bric a Brac, games and much more.

Our fun day raffle has some amazing prizes on offer: a meal for 2 at The Elwes Arms, an M&S Hamper, a Summer Hamper, a Soap and Glory gift bag, a lunch voucher for Wetherspoons, a Hairven pamper voucher, three-day gym passes, fruit and veg basket, gift vouchers, wine and chocolates. Tickets will be available on the day or you can buy them from Jazz’s shop on Oakdale Road or ask any Friends of Onchan Park committee member.
