Update from the 2024 AGM:
In her Chair’s report, Alison noted the great perseverance of the group and the continued desire to work together with the local councillors to fight for improvements to the park. This year we have had success with new bins at the park and emergency works to make the play equipment and steps safe.
The Charities Commission has been updated and the group remains a registered charity and the accounts are all up to date.
We have had many new people join the meetings this year including the local PCSO, supporting our cause and expressing concern for the decay of the park.
The group’s treasurer, Pia, noted that the group could provide match funding if required for funding bids. There has been no expenditure.
Alison was voted in for Chair, Pia for Treasurer, Maria for Secretary (for one more term), Paul will be Events Coordinator jointly with Valeria.
