Our online petition with change.org will be closing soon as we need to present it to Gedling Borough Council.

As well as strong public support on Facebook, for our online survey (now closed) and petition, several community leaders are supporting our campaign to save Onchan Park.
Our Summer Fun Day was covered on the radio, TV and online, thanks to local media productions.

BBC East Midlands Today featured members of our committee on Friday 29th July and they also filmed at the Fun Day which was broadcast on 31st July and Tuesday 2nd August. Paddy Tipping spoke up for us saying “I think the council know the strength of feeling, but an event like that brings people together, shows support for the park, and I hope the council listen *very* carefully to local opinion”.
Notts TV filmed on Onchan Park on Friday 29th July and at the Fun Day on 31st July and our campaign featured on Notts TV news on both days.
Richard Allen interviewed Sally Cook, Friends of Onchan Park Secretary, on BBC Radio Nottingham on 29/7/16.
We appreciate the reporters coming out on Sunday to film the Fun Day and our media coverage was positive and supportive.
Friends of Onchan Park have asked local schools and groups to design murals to be painted on the Onchan Park pavilion wall and windows. The pavilion (the building in the middle of Onchan Park) is currently boarded up and looking very sad. Read More
